Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business leads, developing existing customer relationships, and supporting the external sales team through proactive outbound calling and account management.
This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a commercial mindset, and experience in technical or industrial sales environments—particularly within the engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outbound Prospecting Calls: Initiate and conduct outbound calls to potential clients to generate interest in the company’s products/services.
- Customer Development: Follow up on marketing leads, nurture prospects, and build long-term relationships with clients via phone and email.
- Quotation Management: Send and follow up on quotations; liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely responses.
- Sales Administration: Maintain CRM records, update customer information, manage call logs, and prepare reports as required.
- Manage and develop leads from Barbour online platform
- Customer Visits: Occasionally accompany field sales representatives on client visits when appropriate to better understand customer needs and strengthen relationships.
- Support External Sales Team: Provide administrative and logistical support to field-based sales personnel, including scheduling meetings, preparing proposals, and coordinating follow-ups.
- Meeting Targets: Contribute to achieving departmental and company sales targets through effective lead generation and conversion techniques.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the company’s engineering products/services to communicate value propositions effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a telesales or inside sales role, preferably within the engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries.
